Couch to 5k

I am a lazy person. I would rather nap or watch TV instead of working out; however, working out is essential to sustaining a healthy lifestyle. Last year I discovered I really enjoyed cardio-kickboxing at our local gym, Work Out World. I lost a good deal of weight and improved my cardio strength. But - things changed and I found out I was pregnant with our little girl last June and I had to take down the working out.

So now, as a mom, I have to try and figure out a way to balance making dinner, cleaning the house, pumping, taking care of the baby and spending some QC with the hubs. I started going back to the gym - back to classes - but it was to much. By the time I got there and go to class and then got home, I would be gone for like 2 hours. And what time does that leave me for relaxing with my husband and the baby - none. So I needed another plan. At first, I thought maybe I would do Insanity but I've tried that more and well, it bores me. I thought I needed something different. So I decided to download the Couch to 5K app by Active Network.


I'm only on week 1, day 3 - but I feel like it's definitely something I can do. I'm not into running - but the way this program is set up, I feel like I can succeed.

I will let ya'll know how I do - but fingers crossed it does the job. I'm aiming for August or September to do a real 5k so plenty of time for progress!
